lowering - alloy wheels

hi guys i am looking to buy 16inch alloys now because i didnt really wanna bother with rolling the arches for 17's anyhow i was wandering if it would still be fine if i got 16inch alloys and lowered the car like 40mm ? or maybe 60mm? i am still not 100% sure and i am not sure how low the car would sit since i am going to get a sypher bodykit at the end to i want it low but not way to low ie touching the floor just wanted to know your views on how much to lower by and what sized wheels thanks (bodykit is a must lol) i like that one. thanks in advance

16's with 40 profile tyres should be fine lowered 40mm with minimal if not any rubbing...

I lowerd mine 40mm and had some kinda wide 16's. I dont know much about it but it rubbed like hell. If you carry people in your car a fair bit i wouldnt advise it.

yeah i got 16"s and wanna lower mine 40mm i got 195/45/16 tyres whats the thing with that? rubbing?
