noise from hell

   just recently had my timing belt fitted and now thers a whine ing kind of noise comin from the timing belt casing but only happens now and again any ideas folks thanks

   This noise normally points to the belt being too tight. Might wanna get this checked with the people who did it for you.

   yep belt mine did the same drives u nutty, or if u havent had tensioner and idler changed could be them

   mine does it and im guessing its too tight but cant be arsed to adjust the tension as the gap from the inner wing to the tensioner is way to small for my liking

   would having the belt to tight stress the belt?

   It can be fine, but if it's really too tight, it can snap.
