Door card retrim

   Bout to retrim my door cards with white leather and sticking a carbon fibre vinyl over the plastic, cheap yea i know However how do people get the centre part of the door card off? to you dril the plastic bits out of is there a better way ?

   You have to drill out the plastic rivets on the back...

   oo curse my lack of bank funds 10 pounds seems expensive to me , thanks anyway

   if you have a dremel use it to get the plastic type rivets off (there actually heat stakes ) or you can dril them or use a countersunk bit
   
   to get them back together use a soldering iron and bits of plastic, then just melt them back on, use clamps to keep them together whilst it cools

   When i did mine i didn't use a soldering iron to melt them back together... i used 5 minute epoxy resin to fill the holes... and they are stuck firm

   When u did mine there was just enough of the black rivets left to use a no. 12 x 5/8" self tapper and a penny washer.

   of it actually been put back together??
