    Removing front door cards:

Open door, remove torx bit at top corner of doorcard neer the mirror adjustor, remove torx bit from within doorhandle... get flat head screwdriver, slide it underneath doorcard at the bottom and leaver it off - it's held on with plastic clips... once you have prised it forwards enough to get your hand behind it, they work your way along the bottom and up each side, popping out the plastic clips... then to remove the doorcard you need to lift the doorcard upwards, so it becomes unclipped from the window seal and doorpins...

    Seperating the doorcard:

The two sections of the doorcard are held together my melted plastic tabs/rivets... they need to be drilled out from the back... once all of the rivets have been drilled the doorcard should seperate...

Then spray fabric adhesive onto the doorcard panel... wait for it to become tacky... then apply the new fabric.... start with the fold in the doorcard... then work you way to the edge of the doorcard gently pushing out any creases.... once your happy with it, leave the glue to dry...

Then place the doorcard centre back into the doorcard... you then need to clamp the two doorcard sections back together... you can either use a soldering iron to melt the plastic lugs back together... or you can do what i did.. and fill the holds with 5 minute epoxy resin...

Then you should get something looking a little like this:

My speaker grills are now black

If you want any more details.. and pictures.. you'll have to sign up for premium membership

    www.fabricaz.co.uk

or they have an ebay store:
    http://stores.ebay.co.uk/FABRICAZ-FABRIC-STORE

The material i used for retrimming my doorcards was their charcoal faux suade...

i then ordered from them again, some black foss backed faux leather to retrim my false floor and sub box...

    Same doorcards as Pred ther?
  28. #28
Yep.. i used the same material for my doorcards as predator... he gave me the link im not affialiated with them in any way!

Although the material has a slight purple tinge.. it is the closest match to the pug leather's alacantra centre as i could find...

If you want bud i could have a go at your doorcards when refurbing your wheels lol..

Is it? Think il do them with a custom mix of leather and alcantra to replicate the seats and interior
Already done some internal components myself to colour code her further like speaker grills, heater inserts etc.

May do that mate, if iv got the time
