Heater bulb

   The bulb which lights up my heater controls has blown and i
   was wondering if i could replace the standard white with a
   different colour bulb? Anyone know if this will work or just
   look rubbish? (its a mk 1 vtr)

   There is a guide to replacing the heater lights with leds, the plastic bit with the hot/cold and feet/windscreen/vents pictures on is coloured plastic with a filter behind so replacing with a standard bulb won't work. See here:

   as said theres a filter on the dial itself, the bulb is actually white, just shines green due to the dial filter, if you changed the bulb colour would either be green or a wierd colour, so you hace to change the dial face, check stevenet15's guide
