Carbon Fibre products now available !!!

  1. #1
Pics and prices as promised guys. Plenty more products on there way. These products will be available to view on my car on the Performance French Car Magazine stand at The French Car Show at Rockingham, 15th July. At present the prices are the prices, wherever sold with no special group buy discounts or club discounts are currently agreed or in place, perhaps something for the future, but I am firm in the belief that the majority of people who will have an interest in these types of products will be the enthusiast anyway and my personal preference is that all people involved with the whole car scene should be able to have access to the products all at the same prices, showing no preference from one customer to the next, equally, the prices are what they are, not starting at £159.99 and coming down by a certain amount to give people the illusion of getting a deal. Trust me for the material, workmanship and time gone into these products and with more to come, the price is very good value for money and as stated before, allows for a strong enough margin to hopefully be able to re invest monies back into the mould processes once these products have broken even. I hope this to be something involving carbon fibre products that few other companies seem to have been able to achieve, not saying they have not done good, but plenty have certainly come and gone, leaving enthusiasts with no service provider in an area that seems rife with false promises. I hope these first products are the kind of thing people are wanting for their cars and my thanks in advance to the valued custom I hope these products promote. They are also available via Streamline Carbon Ltd Ebay shop to allow for debit/credit card and paypal payments for those not wishing to pay via cheque/postal order.

Postage prices will vary depending on how you wish the product to be sent, ie standard or secured or insured etc etc, all down to personal preference. I am also happy to meet people during evenings or weekends to collect products in person to avoid disappointment in any damage caused through the post or to be sure they want the product and can see the quality before they buy. I am based in Northampton.

Very interested when i get some dollar together
  7. #7
I am quite interested in getting hold of a Mk2 saxo tail gate spoiler. is that something that you are able to make?
  8. #8
Not wanting to cause arguments etc, but why is the coil pack cover so much compared to the one streamline was selling on ebay a while back ( one thats fits over both cam covers and coil pack )???

Mirror caps are very tempting but I have to save not spend!

Got a quick question mate, whats the difference between those carbon
products and this type of carbon fibre:

  10. #10
you can get different coloured carbon fibre and different patterns. I know of one person who had a carbon weave with alloy weave combined to give a weird silver look
  11. #11
Ah ok, cause Im going to want some door card insert things made but in a similar
    color to that above.

As far as I know they only do this color for the doorcards:

    Cheers Matt for the pic

Sorry to take over the thread, back to the top people!

hows your progress coming along with the bonnets?

Rushy - as what kam says, although some colours can not look right imo, some look great though. i havent discussed different colours with Mervyn yet though btu will next time i am chatting with him.

Mrtuck16v - Don't worry about people and arguements mate if you have a question about any of the products, fire away, lol. The intricacy of the 106/saxo coil cover is very much so, not just in the prep of the oe part and then the mould but also the laying up of the material onto the mould. The engine bay dressing kit that was once sold by pro comp and now Streamline are selling via ebay and through their normal business, is a very simple product in comparison. Incidentally, I was talking to Mervyn at Streamline last week with regard to a set of mouls that had been produced (quite badly it turns out) of the original pro comp products and was selling them on ebay. The reason the guy made the moulds was due to the pro comp products deterrioating under the heat from engine bay on the guys track saxo, he therefore needed a replacement kit. It would appear the methods use back in the pro comp days were much more aesthetic that practical replacements or dress ups. Streamline products are all manufactured to withstand excessive temps so not going to be a problem now, nonetheless, it wasnt very fair or ethical for Streamlines mould (which they paid Pro comp fair and square for) to be ripped off by jo public so mervyn took the moulds and did the lad a fresh set using better methods and composites that would then stand up to the temps etc. sorry for long reply, though it may make things a bit clearer about what we are selling etc . . .

Banx22 - Yes, anything can pretty much be done, all down to expectation of volumes and cost invested in pattern making etc, and how much you value spending on your car along with other enthusiasts.

Redbullet07 - Yes 206 xsi/C2 vts new style cam covers are on their way !!!, along with cambelt covers (inner & outer), get that dollar, i'm waiting lol.

Dannygti - a set is being made each week so there ill be a good turnaound, along with regular maintenance of the moulds to ensure quality remains, then eventually form a carbno fibre mould for no risk to dmagae etc . . .

James - if enough interest, which ever the most favoured/ better styled 8 valve cover is, we can do them as well, it isnt restricted to 8 valve mainstream models by any means, although a lot of interest is in that area obviously.

Adam - replied to your email mate, good luck with the engine, what probs you having / may be able to shed some light etc . .

cheers for interest and comments and any ideas etc always useful

    Cheers

its the different resins that enable the carbon to withstand higher temperatures :d Sounds like Pro-comps were not the more expensive stuff...

Jimbo - bonnet is in progress and i'm picking up a boot this weekend to get that made
  15. #15
definately Kam - lets hope my bonnet doesnt melt, lol

Here are some pics of the coilpack cover fitted, excuse the wonky badge , not stuck in place, just for the pics quickly 2nite, will fit wing mirror covers 2mrw night.

    will those improve my 0-60
  21. #21
carbon fibre tailgates are what you should make, you'll shift a few of them, id

have one if they were a decent price, im sure plenty of the other lads would

    want one too
  22. #22
yes the full fuse boxes not just the covers
  23. #23
Bullit - lol, yeah of course

Vtrrallygod - Tailgates are already available for the 106 from Streamline Carbon ltd, they are happy to do the saxo bootlid, price would start form £599including vat for a plain weave outer skin and e glass inner skin in satin black. to get things moving quicker would involve at least people to secure orders so that the funds could be invested in the time and cost of the moulds. Also would need to do the bootlook/number plate handle area out of carbon, which would be in addition to that.

adam - can of course be done, yet again, interest to be needed to warrant investing in that specific product. obviosly I will be investing in certain products, but there is only so many i can afford to invest in at a time until money is earnt back etc . . . I think next product is definately going to be the cam belt covers.
  24. #24
some smart stuff here...cant wait to get paid lol
  25. #25
Id be after a boot and bonnet, if they came to a resonable price!! I know someone who once they have a mould will be able to get them around £350
  26. #26

    cheers mate
  27. #27
    Certainly worth a

Is there any more products in the pipeline or been produced yet?

Do you still have a VTS coil pack cover?

Is it possible to make up some VTS cam covers? If so what sort of price would it be? Would be very interested in getting some of those, could pay up front if its feesable.
