Wheel Spacers (another question #7)

  1. #1
Would these be any use? I just can't justify spending £120+ on some H+R ones.

I only want them for looks?

    Good or Bad?
  2. #2
i used them on my 205 dimma, they worked with no problems - just that putting the wheels on was a mission

    How do you mean?

Surely they just use the standard bolts into those provided?

yes but you have to line the bolts up and hold the wheel at the same time aswell as putting the bolts in. it just makes it difficult

I could deal with that aslong as they didn't have a tendency to break!

I may have to purchase some, as £120+ for some track ones is expensive as my car is more for show than anything.

    Cheers!

i still have mine - i can sell you mine if i can find them in the morning

    Time for the 2nd Spacer question;

If I was to purchase these; http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Peugeot-20mm-h...QQcmdZViewItem

would it then be safe to put another 20mm spacer ontop of that with straight through bolts? So they then act as a 40mm spacer?

    Just an idea.
  8. #8
i would not recomend this at all - i am sure someone is selling 40mm hub centric spacers in the for sale section. i think his name is nimble or summit like that
  9. #9
He won't split them, he wants to sell them as a 4! I only want two!! lol
  10. #10
hmmm - i would buy the four off him as they are pretty rare spacers. why do you want 40mm spacers for anyway? - are you fitting a wide bodykit?
  11. #11
No, I own a furio, which has rear drums and I've measured for them to fill the arch like the front ones I need 40mm each side, were as now there 20mm each side!

    Just something that annoys me.

    You can see it in these pictures;

i think 20mm spacers will be fine as anything above 0et offset may give problems with rubbing on the arches. those 32 mm spacers will be better to fill those arches imo
  13. #13
Thats what they already have though, thats the thing!
  14. #14
then those 32mm spacers will look better - they should be ok as you mainly need hubcentric spacers on the front wheels to avoid wheel vibrations so the rear will be fine
  15. #15
You think an extra 12mm should do it?

The owner before me had archwork done for 17s so I'll have no trouble with rubbing, just want it to fit the arch better (as you can from above)
  16. #16
If you can find them mall, how much inc p+p?

    Cheers.
  17. #17
There is a school of thought that spacers especially ones that are so big you cant use a single bolt are not good.

stop being a tight arse and get some proper ones
