Rear Trailing Arm

I have a clunk coming from what I thought was the front suspension. I took it to the garage yesterday who got it up a height and then jacked it up to check for play in the suspension etc.

The front was fine but the back nearside trailing arm bush had play in it and this is where the sound is coming from. I've tried to find somewhere that sells a new complete trailing arm but I can't. Local motorfactors can only supply a re0furb kit and both GSF and Eurocarparts don't list anything

So does anyone know where I can get one??

i had both my trailing arm bearings and seals and bushes done, the passengers side was done first and then the drivers side about 2 months ago. i think it cost me about 150 notes to have it done. have you thought about getting a complete rear axle off ebay and getting that refurbed?

Hmmm I can imagine it being pricey to get it fitted. I might just let them sort the part and everything.

The bearings don’t cost much and can be done at home. Its just that if the bearings have failed they have probably damaged the beam bearing surface it self. Your trailing arm will tend to be fine.

These bearing do not tend to fail in normal use unless you have done massive miles. If they have failed its always good to ask your self why. Most common reason tends to be due to poor lowering job. You may wish to take you beam to a different place to get it fixed.
