RESOLVED BREMBO bRAKE SQUEAL

  1. #1
just been on the fonme to brembo and they said that all of their brakes tend to squeal! to resolve this you need to copper grease between the pads and the pistons and it should make the squeal go! hjavnt got a clue how but he seemed confident that this works!

i wonder if that works for others

Sounds like an odd suggestion! Surely it's the contact between the pad face and the disc that is causing the squealing???

something to do with vibration between the pads & pistons!

i got told the same thing when i was putting new brake pads on my furio!
rear brakes are squeaky on my vtr, might have to grease them up too

I always put grease behind the pads, thats like pad changing 101, i think just about every guide iv ever read has said that!

Have yours been squeaking much spencer?

They've told him no different to anything that mechanics are taught lol It's standard practice when changing pads to use copper grease. If I remember rightly, Danny (dsh85 ) found a solution on a pug forum, it was something to do with fitting different discs (same size but from a different pug/citreon model?). I'll see if he still has the link to the forum page.

Yeh i remeber reading they are quite bad for squeaking and i also remember that thread about what discs were best to use (though i couldnt remember what the disc was )

Post up the part numbers would you Danny? I gather these discs will only come vented though. holes n grooves gain me respect from the corsa sxi lads
