How much would an original manifold cost one of the cast iron type things. As mine is blowing and is pretty buggered so i think replacing is the best option unless my mechnic says otherwise. Was going to get a raceland but its onli a 1.1 and there expensive. So how much should i be looking at?? Thanks guys

#2prob more than a raceland tbh
-
#3you reckon i now Kamracing do a discounted one at £119.50 but i think you have to be a premium member to recieve the discount if im correct? Thinking about a premium membership when i get paid at the end of the month.
-
#4not sure tbh
i just remember when my old standard zorst was blowing and to replace it would have cost me the same as performance one. you could check with ciroen unless you buy second hand but the standard manni is poo -
#5it is well i wouldnt be getting it myself my mechnic would obv get it. Will see if he can cure the bent exhaust and we just try to stop the exhaust blowing as much as possible so i dont have to buy anything and then wait untill i get paid then i may get a raceland. Do i need to be a premium member for KAmRacing Discount??
-
#6as said not sure. ask him?
-
#7i dont think you need to be a premium member as im not and i got it at the group buy price, and i think i read earlier that KamRacing isnt sure if the raceland will fit a 1.1
-
#8Yer he has told me he isnt 100% sure if it will fit which is why i am asking if anyone else has done it or knows if it will definatly fit. A guy on ebay who is selling stainless steel manifolds for saxo's says the 8v will fit but i dont know if he is just saying it to make a sale or if he definatly knows.
-
#9Also someone on FSC thinks that i may have to use a renault 5 oil filter on some engines.
-
#10No one has done this? Rightio then. Would anyone like to take a good enough guess as to whether it would fit? Like how many different standard manifolds are there? Would a standard 1.1 manifold fit the 1.4's and 1.6's? If so wouldnt the Raceland fit?
-
#11I wouldnt of though so cos the 1.4's & 1.6's got bigger exhaust ports......but im not sure no engine expert myself
-
#12the only way to find out m8 is to go to citroen or to give it a bash with a raceland
-
#13I would do if i could send it back if it didnt fit.
-
#14hmmm you would have to talk to KamRacing about that as it could help him sell more products, or be able to tell 1.1 owners that they wont. you just would have to take great care off the stainless steel lol
-
#15Yer i have pm'd him and thats what i was thinking if i actually test it myself and feedback whether it fits or not then it could open up to a wider market. Aslong as if it doesnt fit i can send it back though just on the off chance it doesnt fit. Yer would have a towel or something to stop from scratching it on anything.
-
#16i used a towel on mine because its sooo nice to look at and touch lol then it goes a purpely colour
-
#17I've got a friend who knows his tu engines so i'll send him an email. Its very likely the 1.1 has different port spacing but he'll know.
-
#18Okey cheers Kam would be good to know. Just thought it would of been easier for Citroen to make them all the same size as it would be cheaper on parts. But will shall see. If you could post it up here so that everyone can see would be brilliant thanks.
-
#19right this is what my good friend says. He's 99% sure that the port spacing is the same. What he does say is the 1.1 block is 18mm shorter so this may or may not pose a problem. I think you might be ok....

#20just give it a go m8, im sure ul be able to sell it on if it dosnt fit. there are plenty of people on here that dont have one yet and would buy it off you if it goes tits up
