help needed, engine fired!

   i think the earth strap from the altenator arked out to the manifold
   (2001 Y reg) and set the loom on fire, the earth is fried and theres about 5/6 wires around it also chared.
   most of the electrics are fine but on the dash theres a little light like a box with a key in that constantly flashes and the oil temp light is constantly on.
   am i right in thinking its going to need a re-wire and the ECU swapping??
   
   any help will be greatly appreciated!

   had same problem mate but not as mate,ither rewire the loom or get another one

   All you need to do is get the electrics repaired get a autoelectrician to wire in new wires and your ecu should be fine

   Its only falshing at the moment because the cable to immobiliser is damaged therefore no signal been or code been sent via the key

   it should be ok mate,if not you can get an ecu quite cheap,will have to get it unlocked tho
