Can anyone advise me on which air filter/ induction kit is best for increasing BHP and throttle response?

you can't bore it to a 1.3 as the casing is too thin? or is that just on VTR/VTS models? if it's possible I'd be interested in doing it to mine.

    scott
for the price of doing that you could just buy an s1 engine lol!

Well i was only suggesting things never said it would work or the engine was capable lol. Would be good to see it done though if it was possible lol. Can the VTS be bored any bigger? Say from 1598 to 1654 or something? Just out of interest really.

asI thought, no the walls are too thin to bore out. If you wer to try, you would lose the strength.

but economics of tuning are not to just throw money. if you want an S engine why not pay and get one tuned rather than tryint to polish a turd, i mean 1.1

all TU engines generally have narrow walls, overboring doesnt give you a larger penis. you alos have to consider the pistons, most only use slightly overbores because the cylinder walls are fucked and they are using forgies

spend money in correct areas rather than thinking of new ideas.

So, say for instance I got a replacement element/induction kit and full exaust system how much more power would I get on top of my standard 60BHP or should I just get a VTR/S.

october isnt long, why waste money and time in the garage for an engine that you will only use for a couple of months.

original 1.4 in the quiky was overheating and being well humped!!

power is hush hush at mo only a few people know, not fully mapped on the final boostage yet.

WHy erm well has this 1.1mpi from a 2002 saxo with 18k on in the garage.....
  27. #27
get a bigger engine whats the point in spending money on a 1.1 !!
  28. #28
because the engine is in the garage and if I kill it another 1.4 or 1.6 is cheap and all this stuff bolts on! Got to love all the why do it questions, when the stuff and work is free or cost near sweet FA
  29. #29
Just save your money at the moment and get performance replacment panel filter or...you could get more sound from a cone theirs loads out their!!

as above really save the money and spend it on the vts lump? but that mans a legend for boosting a 1.1 would be intrested to see what power its puttin out, maybe similar to that of a turbo'd fiat cinquecento sporting maybe?
