Furio BHP

  1. #1
What sort of BHP am i looking at by caming, remapping 4-2-1 mani on a furio guys?
  2. #2
somewhere inbetween the R and S.

    Cammed Furio
  3. #3
depends on the cam but it would be realistic to get around 90bhp perhaps slightly more
  4. #4
What cam do you recommend? and do you mean 90bhp on top of the cars existing power?
  5. #5
no 90bhp TOTAL. no way would u be getting 90bhp on top mate.

If your thinking that its possible to get an additional 90bhp from them mods youve clearly been watching 2 much fast and the furious and reading max power.

People seem to think you can get big bhp for little money. not possible realistically.

i totally agree you have summed it up i hear it all the time people telling me how the induction kit and exhaust make the saxos hav 150bhp they clearly dont have a clue and like u say read max power and watch fast and furious

ok chill out, i might be a "newbie" on here but have spent about £20k in mods in the past 4 years... so your saying from those mods ill gain about 10-15 bhp? hmmm.. i dont think so?!
  8. #8
lol.. i dont think that at all, just a bit of advice is cool.
  9. #9
Ok mate first off well done you have spent 20k on mods.

Again congratulations are in order as youve clearly learnt nothing along your way.

Furios are 75bhp standard So yeah 90bhp id say is about realistic for a cam remap manifold.

At the very most id say 95bhp . But this is still very very very doubtfull.
From the results ive seen from other peoples cars etc i would be very suprised if you got anything about 90-95bhp.

cams with a remap is probably about 10-15 MAYBE Somehow 20 if there very very wild but i cannot see this on a little 1.4 8v.

And a manifold probably about 3-4-5bhp if your lucky.

Lemmie guess your someone whos spent 20k on mods and still thinks an open cone air filter in your engine bay will give you 10bhp extra lol
  10. #10
lol i cant belive ppl still think a induction kit can give u 10fhp just ludacris lol

3bhp maybe not even that i recan lols
90bhp is about it tbh without seriously damaging ur engine sorry if your hopes was for to get around the 100mark if u want that then get a vtr or a vts then u can be happy ur in the 100bhp crew lol (still even that aint nothing special to brag about lols)
  11. #11
lol! people who save their pennies up for months and months waiting for that legendary walk in to halfords to get the gleaming ripspeed enclosed filter are the sort of people thinking they are changing their micra in to a rs!
  12. #12
    not me old boy
  13. #13
If you have spent 20k in the past four years, what are you driving a 1 litre Saxo for? What cars did you put that money into?

What have you spent £20k on?
  15. #15
If your gonna spend all that money on trying to make it 100bhp just buy a VTR......i no ur gonna say insurence but surly ur insurence on the modded Furio will be roughly the same as a standard VTR when you have to declaire all the mods you have done to ur insurence company

Its different if you have a VTR and you wanna tune that to same BHP as VTS cos the insurence for a VTS is just a joke for 17-18 yr olds..............if you can see where im coming from
  16. #16
Pics of the what the 20k went on otherwise ill be forced to post the same song as i did in the other thread and thiswill result in total internet humiliation and your whole life will clapse around you

Yup.. I've have run exactly the same engine in a 205 with a similar spec.. 285 piper cams, a fettled head and a Grp N exhaust and that gave 91bhp on the rollers.

You may not gain massive peak power but its how the car delivers that power that is the good thing.

Give me a good few thousand and I'll get you're 1.4 to 160bhp lol

a TVR has to be more unsafe thn a saxo but yea i would have to say id go for a one over a furio. actualy id go for summin a bit.... more normal like summin jap.

Anyway on the subject of power. you an push a bit of power from a 1.4 but not without a few grand. ask jpsaxo his bro has a cammer westie and is pushing a good amount
  24. #24
awaits pics and list of 20k mods.................

    would if i could sweetie

LOL - The furio has the same engine as a quiky right?

A quiky with induction kit, 4-2-1 and full exhaust can make around 90, in some cases just above, others just below. So I imagine with it cammed he should expect around 95, give or take a bit!

One example of a quiky engine going over 90

We are talking about at the fly right?
  40. #40
still yet to see a graph lol
  41. #41

    hp -> at the fly
    bhp -> at the wheels

ummmmmmm, sorry im going to say im not convinced dude.

I was only reading and trying to point out that he may get over 90. But of course it depends on the engine too, how old it is, how well it has been looked after etc.

I wasn't at any point trying to say you are all wrong, just trying to give the guy some hope Although I don't see why he doesn't just get a better car if he wants power?

no no its all cool and interesting to see the results... to me i find it hard to believe there is a performance increase of 20% from basic intake and exhaust mods

    I may be wrong though.
  46. #46
Yeah £500 max worth of mods to get that increase! Would be good if it did give you 20% everytime
