mk1 grille

   does anyone have a how to guide or some instructions for me to follow to be able to mesh a mk1 vtr grille?

   so im gonna have to take off the whole of the front bumper to mesh it?
   
   is it not possible to just unscrew the grille?

   you mean the bumper grill (as in the guide) or the upper grill (seperate to the bumper)?

   If you mean the upper one - yes.
   There are 3 screws on the top of the slam panel under the bonnet and 2 clips under the indicator lights (which just unclip and slide out). Remove all these and gently pull the grill off.
   The standard centre unscrews from the grille surround. Remove and then trim all the plastic lugs off. Cut some mesh to fit and bond it to the rear of the grill. Then refit to the car when dry.
   Easy.
