i need you advice... what can i get that'll lower he beast between 25-35mm... 30mm being the ideal lowerage height for me

    40mm is a NO NO

one stipulation... I'll probably need to buy these from a shop... this is just random thoughts at the moment

rough prices would also be wicked.

I'd recommend these mate, as I was VERY tempted to get them myself.

    Click.

I know it's £99 delivered, but you may get discount too with it been through KamRacing. They are Eibachs though, so if you don't mind paying the extra they are great and you won't need to upgrade the dampers.

was going to suggest the same Luke, Eibach ftw!

Can't go wrong with Eibach can you buddy?

Get them bought and fitted for Saturday

IMO no, love them, prefer the ride to my mates down 40mm on Avo....

eibach around 100 quid. then avo, kw that low 30 and koni down 35 are quite a bit cheaper

The Pro-kit is designed for use with standard dampers or their own brand pro kit dampers.

Funny that I was just getting ready to ask the same thing, Im thinking of going for Spax -40mm tho.

Just a quick question (not hijacking, just dont want to start a new thread). Will lowering the fron on springs/standard dampers and not lowering the rear damage anything?

It would be a temp thing, but dont want to do it if it'l break something?

    will be fine

According to my mk2 cheat sheet the 5door derv weighs closest to the VTR, its down as being 10kgs lighter. So i'd say if you went with some VTR springs you'll end up sitting roulghly the same height as a VTR would on them. VTS is slightly heavier so you'd probably end up higher than you want to be.

    rocking...

    cheat sheet??

I've only got a Mk1 one... can you send it mofo?

yeah uber lowering isnt the key here, basically the higher the better in a sense lol

it will be fine but take it easy. I had mine down 50mm at the front and not lowered at the rear because the torsion bar was seized and the back end just slid out on a corner whilst I was doing about 15 mph and I almost crashed into a barrier.

Had a few other hairy handling irregularities with the car being completely off balance so avoid it if you can but if you can't make sure it is only done for a short period of time.

my mates was down 60mm on front and standard rear, whilst being in the car its never felt like its slid out?
  15. #15
nor did mine. it felt normal tbh

id would go for the eibach prokit springs mate, i have got them on my vtr and i rate them highly. They have a really nice ride, whilst lowering it around 25-30mm.
