Modifying Door Cards

  1. #1
    Hi
I need some help and ideas with door cards.
I have just bought 2 spare door cards which i want to modify and look mental. They are the type with the material inserts, older styling.
If i want to paint them then how do i go about getting them prepard etc. Or any ideas wat else i could do without to much mucking about to make these different?
    Thanks

They look really good smoothed n sprayed , take out the door pins while ur at it , and even make youself a custom 17cm speaker pod out of fibreglass etc jsu to b different , then spray ....
    And defo pics galore!

Its a silly amount of work, i have done 2 sets for mine so far and damn it really takes time...

I am just startuin on a second set..

What i suggest you do is build up a design like any boot build with ya wooden frame for speaker slots, cross overs etc...

Then stretch material over the lot and staple down.

Once you have done that cover the lot in resin, set hard and start fibreglassing and building up the shapes...

Sanding, filler, sanding, sanding sanding... Primer, sand..etc..
