-
#2de-badged mine last weekend, piece of pie matey
Holes need wielding, smoothing then colour coding to look pro -
#3Hopefully getting mine done this week so will let you know as soon as i find out prices and that
-
#4cheers mate.
appreciate it -
#5Tbh if your going to get it done properly, you may aswell just go to a bodyshop... Won't cost that much i shouldn't think.
-
#6i probly am gonna get it dun properly...i cba 2 weld myself..cant you just use filler or summat?
-
#7^^ could, but would likely crack unless you never slam your boot down, lol
-
#8what about mk2 saxos , there jus sticky aint they , how ya do it on mk2's
-
#9think its about £200 not that sure tho, I bought my car with it done.
-
#10i want this done, but cant justify 200 pennies to fill some tiny holes!
-
#125 holes

dont just put filer on it will sink eventually and look crap, just get them welded up, grinded them back, bit of filler, primer, paint and laquer
-
#13be around £100 matey maybe bit more, obviously depends on who you know etc
-
#14me an my mate done mine, piece of piss mate. Take a hair drier to the badges, then prise them off. T-cut the leftover adhesive. Tape up the backs off the holes and use some filler. Sand it all down till its perfect then re=spray the whole back.
-
#15got price from local bodyshop for mine to be done as well as a wing mirror sprayed and he said £75 for both
-
#16so with the Mk 2 you can just melt the adhesive with a hairdryer?
-
#18thanks gov
-
#19just remove them after washing and drying the car, by the timeyou come to them the suds and water will have loosened the glue ready for you to remove wit a credit card
-
#20All you need to do is buy a small tub of filler, some sand paper and 20 quid worth of spray paint from halfords (primer, 2 cans of the colour and laquer) Its a doddle to do, honestly! But i suppose if you're not really confident then probably better off gettin it done properly eh?
-
#22hmmmmm looks really flat that paint mate, and you havent masked up properly
-
#23I know, i let my mate prep it whilst i was out test driving my mates car, when i came back i just thought ah well wont do much harm and it hasnt really, got a bit of spray on the lights which just came straight out and a wee bit on the bumper which came out which back to black. The paint looks fine to me, im not bothered with the look of it at all. Those pics i posted are just really blown up, better ones up now
-
#24for the best finish you would have to spray the whole lid and use a compressor with a gravity fed gun
is there laquer on it?? -
#25We sprayed the whole rear m8, yeah theres laquer on it. Think its just the way the lights shining on the last one.
-
#26The first 2 pictures were in the process of doing it btw! We were doing the ariel (had snapped off before i bought it and there was a big hole so we fibre glassed, filled and re-sprayed) so we were letting one coat dry and moving onto the ariel then back and forth...
-
#27may be better with a rotary polisher on there mate too
-
#28Im gonna get a borrow of one from work and t-cut the whole car with it
-
#29dont use t-cut mate its crap, use a proper swirl remover or paint restorer
use some megs swirl removers, or poorboys or menzerna, just not t-cut, its bad for all the wrong reasons, theres a sticky in the car care section about it -
#30how much do they cost per bottle? I just spent a fiver on a bottle of t-cut!
-
#31refund? lol id go with pred on this one and opt for it to be done pro for a few pennies more even if its just for the piece of mind and that

Want my front/rear washer jets and badge holes filled in but need quotes from shops? PM please
Honestly needs welding mate ftw, good luck
-
#33cool, il have a look for them then. Halfords? Bit expensive though eh?
-
#34halfords might have the megs and auto glym paint renovater i suppose not the other ones though like poorboys
i wouldnt say they are expensive when they do the job right
