hey people got chance of a 2.0 16v engine out a xsara vts which is 180 bhp or there about standard but to do that would have to swap ma 2.0 8v turbo engine i'm in the middle of rebuilding, i know it will cause alot of work installing the 16v due to the position of the manifold and having to modify a few other things but theres a saxo up here thats got one in it and its rapid, only thing is though not seen many 2.0 turbo'd saxos, what ya think i should do???

    the xsara vts/pug306 gti-6 is 167bhp

sadly, the 2.0 engine from xsara/306 wont fit into a saxo people have thrown money at it.. and just found it too difficult

i would like to see pics of this saxos engine bay with the 2.0 lump in it..as im sadly unable to believe it.. the best place to put it.. is over the rear wheels driving the rear wheels...like the one in the pug 106 below

yeh , lets gets pics up here , bcos that was originally an idea that i was going to do next year , but heard that it didnt go ??....

it will go.. with many thousands of pounds worth of rebuilding the front end..

be cheaper to drop a vts engine in it... then exhaust/filter/cams/remap ecu or maybe multiple throttle bodies

yeh , but everyone does that . was also thinking Mi16 engine...

they will still be too heavy.. and the saxo is already unbalanced front/rear..

hmm, seen the one in the 106 tho..!?

would destroy the fine handling but it has now been done a few times but we have never ever heard exactly how much hassle it was

    GreenSaxo says:

exhaust/filter/cams/remap ecu or maybe multiple throttle bodies

thats what i have been looking to do to my vts today, what kind of power would u think i would end up running? anyone know??

depends on just how far you go and how wild cams compression etc you run
