that would bolt right on but the ports are mega small compared to even 1.4 gt ones, dun no how much of a benfit this would be

For a start, the 1.1 is a bum engine to choose to tune, and youll fail emissions tests by fucking light years.

put a vts engine into it, best option.

carbs are a great way to step back in time.

injection came after carbs for a reason.

webber carbs on a golf mk2 then yeah sure :o

engine transplants your best bet (everyone will say vts) but dont listen to them if you want a small increase and and on a tight budget you can get a vtr engine for under 100 these days :o or even a 1.4 but not much gain for the ammount of work :O 60 to 75 :s

Theres a 1.0 litre on rallye register with rallye engine on carbs!!

save you money for a VTS/VTS Engine and the insurance mate

I'd maybe fit an enclosed and exhaust / manifold if I had money to burn but really I'd spend out of decent suspension / tyres. You may not be able to pull the skin off warm milk on the straights but there is no reason why you cannot make it up on the corners.
