VTR into VTR

  1. #1
Hi i posted up on here a few weeks ago for a friend of mine who wanted to put a VTS engine into his VTR (which had popped), since time a good, cheap replacement VTR engine has come up so he's eager to get that one stuck in just so he can get driving again. The question is, when i posted up before, alot of people said something aqbout making sure the ecu was the correct number of pins (2 or 3), (that was VTS into VTR), I want to know if that is still relevant with a straight swap like this or will all VTR's just bolt up?
    Thanks in advance.....
    Mike.

if the engine has come from the same year as his car then it shud fit the same

same as before single plug engine in single plug car.

3 plug engine in 3 plug car

i think you can get away with any vtr engine and just use the inlet and loom that came out of the car and blank off any thing not in use.
