which indutcion kit make is best?

the two i have singled out are k&n or green cotton, i liked the look of the twin cone induction kit. i no ideally a bmc cda is better but im more after a nice noise for my 1.4, so which do people recommend more.

If your after noise with no real preformance gain, then any open cone filter should do the trick.

Out of the above i would choose the Green kit

    green cotton
  4. #4
green cotten if you don't want a bmc!

if your after noise, pipercross is the one to go for, pick a second hand one up for £50

Green cotton in an enclosed induction kit, or a bmc!!

if your going for a green enclosed then you may as well buy the raceland with green filter for about 90 pound apposed to the original green for around the 210 mark, if i was to do it again i would of bought the raceland there exactly the same apart from the silicone colour and theres an extra one

my green didnt even fit that good onto the slam panel and also didnt come with enought fittings for the breather pipe, had to use a plumbing fixture

like the idea of a green powerflow one or a does anyone know what powertec are like?
  13. #13
powertec are open arent they, therefore more for noise tbh unless you put it in the bay where it doesnt get hot and a cold air feed and a heat shield round it

tbh id rather have a enclosed mate

    powerflow induction??

Before understanding what is best for your car you need to understand what effects the item in question ie 'Heat Soak' and 'Location of the Filter in the engine bay'.

Read my BIG induction thread by clicking on the link in my Signature before parting with your cash.

Budget also has alot of effect of what you get

Good advice, there are other good filters on the market but the RaceLand item with the Green Cotton cone inside is probally the best all rounder on the market for the Saxo engine/engine bay.

Look to www.Kam-Racing.com for the best prices for the above mentioned item

Basically a Plastic Scoop with a open cone filter inside which collects cold air and helps to reduce heat soak problems

may as well wait for the new raceland coming out, kamracing has them on pre order, and supposed to be a lot better fit
  19. #19
also hasn't got VTS emblazened on the front so more suitable for VTRs / Furios and the like

  20. #20
thats ideal been waiting for a plain one for ages.
  21. #21
good stuff kamracing, have you got them yet??
  22. #22
not yet.. I think about 2 weeks time or thereabouts.
  23. #23
i mean a dont need one but just telling people to wait for the new kit from you, free plugs got to admit you do a great surface, top work
