But just wondered if its ok to put a bit more redex than told on the bottle? As my engine is running really slack...

Or does anyone know what else could be the problem?

When i start it revs really funny and when i first drive off it starts stalling...

    Cheers ppl!

As far as i know adding too much redex can work against you and counteract the work that a 'good' amount of redex might have.

http://www.tuning.wanadoo.co.uk/fuel...-for-power.htm - this is quite useful to learn a little about fuel additives.

Generally if its revving too low and revving too low when driving when pulling off, it may be worthwhile to have a twist of the throttle position (the thing where the throttle cable goes to in the engine(twist it and adjust the throttle position)); it could also be idle control sensor, either a faulty sensor or high resistance in the wire leading to it.- a diagnostics check may be worthwhile.

    Mechanically:
Have you checked you oil? - is it low or have you got a poor quality oil in?
I had a leak didnt realise i had barely any oil and the car ran really really badly revs funny and stalling etc.

It could be blocked air flow, i.e clogged air filter.
It could be spark plugs- not giving an adequate spark.
it could be coil pack or wiring that is not allowing the electricity to pass through causing intermission i.e on/off

any other information as to your poor running may help...

Good luck with finding the issue!

do report back if you find out!
