Get a standard bonnet as F50/Evo vents look shit and are chavy.

As pred said if you want "vents" in your bonnet get louvres but these are more for releasing heat from the engine bay that looks.

you can use silicon to let the water run down, like a drain pipe effect and run out the end of your bonnet, missing your engine.

i used to have one on my punto, forever had a problem with it cracking, just had no support with cutting the lats out of the bonnet.

You have put somthing before looks and i dont think its performance, The splitter will add fook all down force as all their designed for is looks
Might as well cut a hole in the bonnet with a hacksaw, will cool the engine down aswell.

i agree with pred but i have to say if u do drive fast enought (cought cought) it does make the front end stick to the road a lil bit more not much but it does (depends what splitter you get tho tbh i.e west wings one if you look at it it has aerodynmics to it

) or as they are properly called front spoilers.

now onto the vent/scoop

if you aint had a vent on your car then in theory you wont actually know what it does (its not 100% for looks if you think that then read an engineering or machanics book) so in reality you dont have a say in if it does do something or if it dont i have seen now first hand that it does cool the engine down alot faster then normal with the vent there hence why simo has vents but different ones.

the problem these days is ppl are to hypacritical its like saying ahh since everyone is doing this then everyone must follow im sorry its not a case of that its more of what you prefer i could easily argue that a standard bonnet is shit but i dont you know why cos thats there choice to have a standard bonnet on still so this is my choice to have a scoop in my bonnet so dont make a political point/argument about it cos its so pointless.

plain and simple if ur gonna spend ya money dont waste it on a scoop
ring up chelmsford accident and repair ask them when they can fit you in to do a bad boy bonnet. they cost 250 or 350 i fink.
well 2 smooth it in costd 250 and to badboy cost 350 looks well good

As pred said, a Saxo will NOT hit speeds were it needs to have 'splitters' to make it stick to the ground.. if they needed them the likes of Bic and his 106 would need to strap a house to the bottom of there cars. They are purley for looks..

It's because their intercoolers/rads are on top of the engine meaning they need to force air into it as otherwise it wouldn't get much air at all, your's doesn't have one there so the point is?

ash is definately more fast car, has a similar taste to ben lol!

Lol its not to get cold air in, its to help hot air escape faster!

The reason is because there turbo'd and they produce much more heat under the bonnet than a Saxo.

Manufactures spend thousands in wind tunnels etc testing them out, not some un-named person who has an idea to make an F50 vent out of fiberglass and sell to clueless newbies who think they aid performance! Lol

If the Saxo needed it in its standard state if would have come with it from the factory!

Rather than wasting money on a shitty vent which looks gash you could have had your car lowered which would have actually aided performance as well as looks which your “vent” does neither

wasting money i got the vent and the bonnet for chips lol and the respray was chips aswell i still have my original bonnet so i can always put that back on when i please

if u read i actually said it aided in pushing cold air in

but its an open vent so all it does on a saxo is expel heat once the car has stopped.

Be careful though my blue VTR had EVO bonnet on it and because it was cut out with mesh, whenever it rained it would steam and rust everything and because of the abuse it got it cracked all round.
