Brakes pulling.

  1. #1
Daughters '03 7000 miles Saxo recently passed MOT but with a warning that brakes pulled car to on side. Took it out for a test drive and sure enough car pulled to the left on braking. I inspected brake discs, pads and made sure pistons weren't siezed and everything looks as good as new but it stills pulls to the left. Any ideas?

When they were fitted, the need to be tested using a Micrometre to make sure the disc spins rotates the same all the way around, this probably was not used so pulls to one side, get a micrometre and see if the disc is the same all the way round.

    Check the tyre pressures too!

which model are we talking about here by the way?

Thanks for your replies. Car is a bog standard 1.2. Disc faces are in good condition, parallel and run true. Tyres are good and pressure ok.
Only other thing I can think of that is possible but highly improbable is that there is air in one side of the braking system so tomorrow I'll be bleeding the brakes.

micrometer is to check the width of something, a DTI (dial test indicator) would be better

I think he was on about using a mic to check the thickness of the disc in different parts. To make sure an area of the disc isnt thicker than others.
