supersprint centre pipe?

  1. #1
im looking to de-cat my car. i will be getting a raceland manifold for certain (for the de-cat), but then im unsure where to go. I have seen a supersprint straight through pipe on kam racing for £54, is this recommened? Also, will it fit my back box? Im unsure what my back box is, i think it is a universal one, was on the car when i got it and is fitted onto the standard piping. Will they all be compatible?
    Cheers. Kev.

I have a one on my VTR with standard manifold (with cat in mani) and a piper backbox sounds alrite though

    heres a vid for u http://www.saxperience.com/forum/showthread.php?t=90537

Mines a Mk2 VTR dunno wat one yours is........but if ur gonna get one make sure its the *Race* pipe then it will de-cat ur car if u have a mk1 saxo.......wont on mk2's though

Because you have the cat in the manifold instead of the cat in the car the centre pipe has to be longer.

Now on a car with the cat under the car the pipe would be too short to connect with the end of your maifold or downpipe so you need the longer centre section. The SuperSprint RaceTube is a longer tube as on a car with the cat underneath this would replace the centre box and cat on yours it should just link the back box to the manifold or down pipe.

Make sure you keep the cat safe as your need it for MoT time so buy it a nice basket, give it plenty of milk and dont let it mess about with any dirty alley cats

I had the non decat one with a decat pipe attached to it on my vtr. My god it sounded angry.

A decent back box will control the levels of volume a system will make but its gona be loud, yep.

Mines a custom 2' GroupN style back box with straight through centre but With a cat and that can get alittle boomy on long runs.

Yer I agree, the back box does most for the volume.

Like my current pugsport system on my gti sounds like armageddon when stood round the back....

    Group N all the way.

Right I've found one, however the one on Kam-Racing says its especially for a VTR. I have a Furio, now will this still fit my car?

    Cheers

Oh right, cos I already have the backbox (poweflow) and now all I need is this centre section then i'm gonna but a Raceland manifold. Will these sections all fit together?
