    some please help me
  2. #2
you need to fill them in dude. then respray.

the other option is to put some tiddly gromits in the holes... but it looks naff.

yep filler is the best way mask around the area sand down so its nice and flush primer respray till your happy with the colour match leave to dry then laquer 2 or 3 times once dry G3 it get the top layer of crap off then lightly wash then polish/wax and job done
  4. #4
have to be welded first for best results, then fillered, primed and painted
  5. #5
Where can i get the exact colour spray?
  6. #6
halfords, they get the paint code off ur car, and then they just mix it up in a 300ml spray can for you
  7. #7
Bodyshop would be best, for the perfect colour match.
  8. #8
they charge £10.99 for the spray can

whoooooahhhhh dont get your paint from halfords... their colour 'matching' is seriously seriously bad.

I would avoid doing it with a spray can... It will need blending in to the rest of the boot, something I don't think you will be able to do personally.

Take it to a bodyshop, I think the average price is 80 pounds.. They weld the holes from behind, sand them down and smooth it over on the front then blend the panel into the rest of the car. It's basiclly guarnteed the finish you get with a spray can will be awful compared to a bodyshop, there is a reason why there still in business after all. If everyone could do it they would have no job.

Fancy selling the badges, or have you snapped them when removing?
  14. #14
ideally the whole but should be sprayed for the best finish
  15. #15
Your whole but??? Pred your wierd.

Get it done by a pro buddy
  16. #16
    The Whole boot? lolol :s
  17. #17
Easiest way not to see the blend is to get the whole boot done That's what i would do anyway...
  18. #18
Thatl cost a bomb just to debadge the car!
  19. #19
    As I said, it's about 80 pounds..
  20. #20
i got quoted £130 to debadge and spray the whole boot
  21. #21
Id get this done at a bodyshop to be honest. Would be hard to get a colour match and I dont think filler alone would be enough on the tailgate. I got a massive dent and some denting around the tailgate, I got quoted £180 for a debadge too and full respray. So im guessing you could get it done for around £100?

    What colour is your car?

Cloud's black car just has grommit's where it's been debadged, I'll find a piccy

    EDIT: can't find any pics

    haha we know pred

Bodyshop faw sho' dude as it needs to be welded to be watertight and so it doesnt crack as filler will

Holes will be welded up then smoothed and sanded down, prepped for the colour match to be made up then the boot lid masked up and sprayed

Can do it yourself but im getting mine done pro next week for fairly cheap and will post up the results, just remember you get what you pay for.....
Il be paying for mine and it will look the nuts lol
  27. #27
ive got the weldin sorted just need to get the paint now!
Where can i geta perfect match from?
  28. #28
any bodyshop will have there own place where they get the paint mixed up or they might have there own bit in the shop

otherwise this place is good for a colour match, although there in aerosols, im sure if you contact them they can do it in a tin for a compressor

    www.a1autowise.com
