Uprated gearbox????

   Is it possible to buy an uprated gearbox for a vts?? if so wher would you get 1 from and what sort o price would i b lookin at?

   i had to have a new one fitted bout 2 month ago. talking to the guy who fitted it, i got the impression he'd done a fair few vts boxes as he sed they wer notoriously crap!!

   Not crap, they break cos they are owned by youngsters who cant drive properly..i.e wacking it into gear crunching it etc..
   
   My mums Saxo is on 100k and its never gone wrong..Due to the fact she doesn't drive it like she's michael Schumacher..lol

   i think thats a lil bit harsh really my reverse is crap as it knocks. but there i a guy down derby who will build you one for a nice fee in cash. ie vts or a 106 rallye box

   i know wht u mean i had a vtr before that had done 113k wen i got rid of it and the gearbox was spot on.
   
   i only got the vts in april, thinking it had just a clutch problem......how wrong i was lol

   I wasn't digging at anyone..My box was rebuilt 20 odd thousand miles ago cos i abuse it..

    i must admit the vts does get some abuse sometimes
    
    i cant help it.....wen i get above 4000rpm.....the smile on my face gets bigger lol
