    cheers

surely not having dust covers isnt good for day to day use?

I'm not familiar with the Wilwood range but most race orientated calipers don't have dust seals. Not a prerequisite on a race car that will have more regular maintainance

anyone know if i can get dust covers or do i have to get new callipers??

they arent covers, its seals on the pistons. htese calkipers arent made to use dust seals so you cant foit them to these. just remove the caliper, push the pedal to get the pistons out and clean the pistons, then push them back in.

you cant just add a cover to them. theyre part of the caliper design to seal them properly,

one of the main reason hi specs are so popular for road cars, they have dust seals built in.

just have to service them more wont you

If its the dynalite style ones like I have, just pull out the cotter pin, remove the pads and clean up the pistons. Could do it every week for all the time it takes.

thast what i have just done to mine. need some new pads though as mine are way down.

Ah right, so you have to maintain the pistons if the brakes dont have dust seals.
How often should this be done as mine have been fitted nearly a year now.

Some of the nuts on the back of the caliper have rusted through as well which
has really annoyed me!! Will get that sorted too while Im at it.

yea exactly the same just the hassel having to jack the car up, take the pads out and clean the crap out of them. would really prefere dust seals...

might just buy some new callipers and sell these ones
