Steering Wheel Buttons

I have an after market steering wheel with buttons on them. Not totally sure what to use the buttons for yet!

Not totally sure how to wire them up safely since the wheel rotates, would it be a case of having to drill a hole in the boss and just have enough wire spare in there from full lock to full lock? Or would it be a good idea to run both buttons wires to a center point in the wheel so its less movement even with the steering wheel moving (not the best description of it tbh)?

    Any suggestions?

Buttons on the steering wheel are usually for the stereo, volume, track change etc.

Im not 100% sure but i would guess it'd be better to run the wires through the middle of the steering wheel, so theres less chance of them tangling up etc.

or you could look at how the air bag is wired up and do the same as that.

the buttons could be used for air horns and ?????

My car is an ax gt, an air bag is a safety feature, something that ax's never have Except seat belts of course!

But what the buttons are to be used for I don't need help on though, I have a rough idea what they will be used for.

I was also thinking of something along the lines of how bmx front brakes to wire up the buttons.

    bmx brakes??????????????

I was using bmx brakes as an example.... The way it replicates brakes for something that can rotate 360 degrees, although I know it's different since it's not pulling something, maybe not the best way to explain it I do admit.

Don't know if it's called a giro Andy.

you can do it like they do wen the put horns on the steering wheel? on the back of the steering wheel there is a strip of metal fixed with wires going to the buttons and on the boss there is like a metal block on a spring so when you turn the wheel there is a constant supply !!?
