VTS gearbox question!

   Anyone got a rough idea what a Standard VTS box (rebuilt) + a quaife ATB diff would be able to handle power wise?

   TU5JP, Rotrex C30/74 Charger - Intercooled, H Beam Forged Rods, 0.3mm oversized forged pistons, head ported and polished head with opened throats, bigger valves, stronger valve springs, newman cam, Vernier Pulley, Omex 600 mangement, 2 extra injectors, S1 rallye inlet, AP Racing Lug-Drive Clutch (supplied by GMC).
   
   ^^^thats all Bought and 90% built, just the Gearbox side to sort, I have a VTS box that has been rebuilt and not been used since, so was just going to slap a ATB in, but don't want to if it means 1st launch or whilst its mapped it spits its dummy out!

   stanadard boxes are good for 210-220bhp max if they don't get too much abuse. where did you get the omex from? and how much if you don't mind me askin.

   The later MA boxes from cars such as the C2 are a lot stronger but hard to fit. Also Ask GMC about improving the input shaft on the MA box. They were working on a stronger one some time back.

   Since we're on the topic... I was at a transmission specialists a few weeks back, getting my rallye box checked over, and they told me it wouldn't last long on the track, as these MA boxes are fairly hopeless... Is this a fair statement? I've had other people tell me they are rock solid.

   The main things to fail in my experience are the input shaft bearings. The race ladder cracks cos its made of plastic. If its uprated, and gearchanges are done smoothly then the boxes are quite strong.

    vts box or you could wang another final drive in from another sports ratio box with the diff on that

    Is that a rigid plate clutch? Don’t quote me on this but I think that could be just as or even more harmful to the gearbox than the torque from the engine
