    no mate that is only a resenator, i had same thought so asked my garage i go to and it will pass, the only thing that will fail is if you get rid of the cat.

    if the car is post 1992/1994, it needs the cat to pass it emisions.

    cheers i new about the cat but was unsure on the middle box!

    bit gutted tho as got s/s exhaust system fitted about a year ago and they asked if i wanted middle box and i said if i need it for mot then i best do but if not dont bother and they still put it on, now its lowered it catches on speed bumps........


    only reason i asked is cuz m8 jus brought another vtr wit s/s exhaust and hes missing middle box

    I only hav a performance backbox and i was told they need to be switched before the MOT otherwise it will fail, is that true?

    lol, no course not, the only thing on an exhaust system which will fail an MOT is if the cat is removed, anything else that is a replacement will pass. I looked removing my cat but it in cunt of a place, right below the manifold so to get rid of it have buy manifold, fuk payin stupid money.

    Any1 going detling hill in sept?

    I have no cat with my car straight through system everything else has just been done for m.o.t what im goin to do instead a buying a cat is just save up for a new system then take it back down a bit gutted cause it sounded real sweet
