FAO GMC Manifold owners

  1. #1
Just got off the phone to GMC £301.97 lighter (manifold with fitting kit, GMC sleeve, delivery + VAT)

Got a piper manifold on the way, but he mentioned that there is a possibility of the manifold needing to have the gearbox mount moved on the manifold to get it to fit right? He said that there is a slight difference between the vtr and the furio (gearbox mount wise)? So has anyone fitted a GMC manifold to a furio??

    Rep given to any helpers

Well i was just hoping someone could clear this up as I have never heard of the gearbox mount for a manifold being different on a 1.4?
Well seems everyone gets confused when they have a GMC manifold as they assume it's made by them, I knew it would be either piper or BTB, so I asked and he said its a piper

Mine snapped and ripped the thread up, had it all re-tapped and they put a bolt in instead of the stanley bolt one thingy ma bob.. spring washer wasent added and it's just fall out again.

Whole car now makes a huge vibrating noise when the revs are dropping.

Not only that but having no mount is putting strain on the head bolts what you don't really want to be doing... get it sorted dude it's a 10 minute job. I'm doing mine tonight.

yea GMC said that not having it mounted to the gearbox will f**k it up and put alot of strain on the head bolts. So get it sorted!
