bit of advice.

    just bought a engine of some guy. its got a highflow head and had newman cams fitted. with all reciepts. he said it was runnin 170bhp i think he's talkin poo. i was gona go for about 155. wot people reckon ?

    Depends what's been done to the head, and what spec cams, etc, etc...

    Is it on stock intake?

    without knowing what cams you have exactly, its like asking whats the bhp of your car without giving a model

    ye, presume so just a ported throttle body. the reciept for the head is for portin and polishin. got the engine cheap so not that arsed. just wonderind

    OK, do you know the cam shaft spec?

    OK, so they are likely to be the PH3 Newmans' then. It won't be running 170 bhp, that's for sure. But if it's in good nick, and you add a decent exhaust system with no CAT, and also a good exhaust manifold, you should hopefully see close to 160 bhp if the ECU has been mapped.

    cool should be all up and runnin by tonight hopefully. so ill take it out see wot it feels like
