206 gti calipers part number

    Does anyone know these?

    Got some calipers off ebay but want to check they are ok to fit onto car before I spend money on the disks and pads!

    Ok are these 206gti calipers???







    Can someone let me know ASAP if they are the right calipers! need to get them fitted asap if they are!

    They look the same as mine







    If they are I used

    Mintex OE discs MDC990 + pads MDB2584

    I had to use shorter brake hoses (think they were GTI180) as the bit where the hose attaches to the caliper points straight up (the vtr ones was angled inwards) so my original hose was rubbing on my wheel

    Me and a mate fitted mine

    I think the discs + pads were about £75, prob could have got a different make cheaper but I only had Mintex part no's.

    But the hoses ended up costing about £100. The hose that had been rubbing (didn't know it had) burst during my MOT (doh!) so had to pay the garage price, as the car was there with the brake pedal on the floor. So I got them to do both sides at the same time. Will be a lot cheaper for you.

    You and Matt should be able to do it easily.


    Should probably wait till Williamsvts has had a look at this again before ordering anything.
