what engine conversions can i have done... on a vtr....is the anything other than a vts or is vts the way foward?? and wat sorta prices will i be looking at for fitting and supply

Gti-6 or xsara vts engine!! Or be daring and put a 3ltr v6 in the rear, depends on money.... how much you want to spend?

pushing for a vts conversion mate!! Depends if your doing it yourself?? Can get a decent s engine for around £350-500 or a nice gti-6 engine £600+

no way could you do anything other than a vts conversion on that budget.

Depends whoz doing it!! If its dun in a farm with rakes and wood then it may be cheaper
are you going to do it yourself?
if so, should easy be able to do a 16v conversion for that price..

there is a place that does a vtec conversion, putting it in the rear of the car, but i think its about 5k

Could get alot in the rear it has been done a few times rs turbo, vtec, type r, 3ltr v6 etc...

For £1500 I would go DIY turbo. But if your not to bad a DIY and can weld the XU and K series are not stupidly hard to fit. It is a lot of work though.

z cars do the vtec engine in the rear and i fink its fitted for £10k.
does the gti-6 engine sit on the same mounts as any saxo engine or wud they need to be fabricated?

Id go for an S conversion tbh, do it yourself save a few pennies then get a few bits slapped on the S lump.

For £1500 I'd sell the R and buy a newer S!
