box swap?

    morning all!

    my flat mates gearbox has pretty much disintigrated on her T plate westy, was just wondering if a box from a vtr will be a straight over job as ive got the option of one for £50.?!

    as said it probablies will, not sure if the mk2 box's were different like, but think they fit aswell

    saying that the gearbox mount on my furio isn't the same as that of a vtr. Whether that has anything to do with it I have no idea

    Although the vtr box will fit, the gear ratios are a lot longer on the vtr which might cause it to bog down on the smaller engine, also the speedo drive is calibrated for different sized wheels so thats worth considering too.

    i knew the ratio would be different, its not really a great factor.
    as long as it fits, that'll do!
