ive got a phase 2 vtr and im looking for a 4 branch manifold. i seen a manifold in the french car mag. its a 4 branch with the sport cat built into it. basically im thinking about buying it cause i can`t be assed messing about at mot time putting the standard one back on. has anyone got one of these manifolds? and are they any good?. and do they release any extra power. cheers
manifold advice?

#2Sports CAT in down pipe is not that great way of doing it. Better to get a sports CAT is your main system.
-
#3get a supersprint center section which has the cat in it and then get a descent manifold.
-
#5The hole point of the tuned length tubular manifold is to control the pressure waves in the exhaust gasses coming from the cylinders. This is why the pipes are so long on good exhaust manifolds. The manifolds with the cat in have very short primary pipes. So simply don’t work like a performance manifold should.

#6so do you think it would be best to get a manifold without the cat ? decat manifold. cause i don`t want to replace the exhaust system thats on it as i just bought it. its a magnex system , so what manifold would be best if i went down the decat manifold road? cheers.

#7I would get a manifold without the cat and fit the version of the cat that goes into the exhaust.
This would be significantly better (and cheaper) than a mani/cat combo -
#9Your Magnex system will have a decat pipe to extend the centre section to the manifold, just take this section of pipe out and put a sports cat in there.
