Rear Axel Damage?

  1. #1
    Hi guys

Quick question really... can lowering the rear of a saxo (MK1 VTR) cause slow damage to the rear axel? Basically the rear axel on my saxo is knackared and i just wondered what could have caused it?

    Cheers

If you lower it the torsion bar by clicks then it can damage it. But if you pull out the bars it should be fine.

Also does any of your back wheels have play in them when you give them a good pull? As thats happened to 2 of my cars, and I don't drive like a nut.

yeah if it would lowered by the clicks method and knockign the rear arm off then yes it can cause damage after time as the seals normally get damaged and then over time they get infected with crap and water damages teh bearings and then its new beam time
