what is the best way to secure your saxo?

Removin door Pins is an obvious choose but what else to get without spending £300 on a clifford or toad alarm?
  2. #2
deadbolts, there is a thread on here somewhere about them. give the old search function a whirl fella.
  3. #3

  8. #8
wil still work, use 2 of the solenoids for the 2 doors, and use one other solenoid for the boot relese option say if you delock your boot.

  14. #14
still, dont want it to happen to any car!!
  15. #15
best way to secure is cat 1 alarm, delock, de pin and security tints BUT they will still get in if they really want to you are just trying to deter them as much as possible
  16. #16
I can do a Thatcham 2-1 upgrade for around £200. you do not need a cat 1 as the saxo has a cat 2 on as standered so all you need is a battery back up alarm to make it a cat 1. Alot of shops rip you off coz a cat 1 is more money than a 2-1 upgrade.

standard keypads any good guys? i mean it looks pretty james bond but how easily are they bypassed?
  18. #18
hey, guys... just read this forum and i'd like to ask you a few questions...

is it ok to remove the door pin if i don't have a central locking?
what do you think, can i order something from uk? what do you think how much will the delivery cost me, since i'm in croatia? i specificly mean that dead bolt system, i doubt that they have it here, unless it's a citroen original part...

im installing ice and i want to secure it, because they already broke into my old golf mk1 and stole my speakers...
  19. #19
i've called the local citroen store and they told me that central locking kit (the whole package) costs around 240 quid...
don't you think it's too much?
for a 150 i can get an alarm... with a central locking device (i think)
  20. #20
about my first post, i meant to ask is there another way to unlock the doors from inside when you remove the door pins, and you dont own a central locking device, or will i always have to go out, around the car and unlock the doors?
  21. #21
lock the passenger door from inside then get out and lock your drivers door. thats the only way of going about it if the door are not connected to each other by means of a central locking kit
  22. #22
    nononono you didnt understand...

i meant to ask is there another way of locking/unlocking the doors, when you remove the door pins, except from the outside?
  23. #23
ahh, rite . Well u could run a switch to them to pop them open? get the locking switch from a mk1 renault clio and wire that into the doorlock solenoid
  24. #24
    How does that work AL?
  25. #25
you would have to look at the way the clio's one if wired up to the solenoid, but it is more than likely the same part as the saxo anyway. So, shouldnt be too hard to do. Even jus use a switch from Halfords or something
