saxo vtr problem

   hi all got a saxo vtr 1.6 on a sreg cars been running nicely up untill a week ago firstly the car jutters like fuel ant getting to car when idle its on 1000rpm and it will drop and back to 1000rpm and when driving it jutterer a bit in gears and there is a light flashing sometimes looks like a engine with a k looking symbol right hand side of lights panel i changed the fuel filter thinking it might be clogged up and also changed spark plugs but still happaing and aslo a key symbol starts to flash then goes any help

   Have you checked the coilpack or ignition?

   no i havent checked them how do i go about doing this meaning how woul i know if they are gone?

   clean the spark plugs so they look new ish with a wire brush, or just buy a new set!
   
   go for a drive, then check the spark plugs again. if one isnt fireing it'll still look clean ish while the others look brownish from ingition
