VTS wheels - fitting

  1. #1
Not sure if this is the right section but I have recently bought some VTS alloys but the wheel bolts are rusty and look gash, is there a (easy) way to make them shiny again or just buy new ones but they will just rust again? Or is it really not that important cause they seem to sit quite deep in the holes anyway?

    HELP????

give them a little wet & dry, then put some tape over the threads and spray the heads of the studs silver.

Started sanding them and was taking ages, wont the paint just come off when tightening them?
  4. #4
maybe a little bit, but the face you'll see should stay silver.

Use a wire brush to get rid of the rust, that or a grit blaster.
  6. #6
wire brush them and leave them in vinegar over night..

as said, just respray using methods above, you only ever see the top not the sides, so its worth doing, its only a cheap jobbie. Better than buying new 'uns.
