    hi im finking ov getting sum french number plates and i no they arnt legal but wandered how many ov u actually have them??? what happens if u get pulled over with them??? do u get points or just a fine???? wb asap plz

    Why would you want french plates? Leave your standard plates on, you said yourself they are illegal so whats the point.

    my mate had french plates on his car for ages now and our area has loads of cops and he passes em the traffic police everyday they havent said anything ?

    One a copper pulled me and ask me "do you think your french" i said no officer but my car is

    Oficer looked at me and jumped back in his car and drove off

    Waved ta ta to him aswell

    French plates aren't legal.

    A mate of mine got pulled on the way back from FCS this year. He got a £30 fine which turns out to be about £70 as they add extra costs onto it!

    If you don't want to run the risk of getting pulled over, don't have them. If you do get pulled over for having them on, don't say we didn't warn you!

    DVLA says they are legel and so does 2 traffic cops that told me

    anythin fater 2001 reg they are NOT legel

    Gavcollier is spot on..

    i have been pulled a few times and my french plates have never been an issue..

    Get them from www.craigsplates.com

    This company uses the same presses and materials etc as genuine french car plate makers so they are very reflective etc..Dubmeister dont iirc..Also dubmeister only do a German font which looks pap imo..

    i will be gettin ones from craigsplates as soon as my car is fixed and lowered! if the cops pull me then they pull me! never seen anyone round here pulled for them! as far as i know there not illegal! just some cops like to pull people!

    I got mine from http://www.platemyride.co.uk/ there very good quality and everyone does notice there different which is nice. Ive passed so many police since having them on and not one car pulled me, so its all good!

    i think they are legal as long as you have a british font not a french/german one, my mate is studying law and he has french style with British font, been pulled a few times for tints but they cant touch him on plates!

    French plates are cool, no other way to descripe them.

    Whether they are UK road legal is another thing, somepeople say they have passed their MoT's with them on so its a risk you take.

    My best advice as mine have been on for about 10months is to carry your UK items in the boot just incase you get pulled


    I personally chose to space mine in the style of French plates



    Not to everybodies tastes but then neither is the rest of my car, people love to hate my car lol

    recieved mine today and i have a 2002 car so probably illegal, think im gonna wait and put them on when my cars lowered and such, may look a bit cack on a pretty standard car
