#11but im sayin do i just get stadard? can you get aftermarket? im guessing there wouldnt be much point in goin after market
-
#12lifters are not like xhaust systems.
std lifters are fine.
solids are the 'aftermarket' ones, but theyre for people who want to rev to 9k ish lol. -
#13Limiter is raised for cams isnt it, so woud it be raised any more for TBs?
Im guessing best bet is standard lifters for now, i imagine citroen isnt the cheapest place, anywhere online i can get them from ryan? -
#14The limiter isn't necessarily raised when changing the cam shaft(s). Changing from standard induction to TBs shouldn't really warrant altering the limiter either. Yes, there's the issue with TBs on 106s / VTSs where TBs will cause the power to shift higher in the rev range, but with fast road cams such as 708s, you shouldn't really need to rev all the way to 7800 for example.
What I've learned from John at GMC is that a good setup with 708s should produce max BHP @ 7200 and max lb/ft @ 5500. So in theory, if you are trying to accelerate as quickly as possible, you want to be changing up @ max BHP, thus dropping you back into max ft/lb in the next gear up. The only reason you will need to rev higher is probably if your hands are tied up while going round a bend, and you don't have time to change at the optimum interval. Or you might just be angry and want to hear it scream!
