Vts Cuts Out Help Please

  1. #1
    Hi

My Mates Vts Is Cutting Out He Doesn't Have An Airbox On It At The Moment And It Has Been Sat For A Few Months. It Cuts Out At Really Low Revs Normally If U Slow For A Junction It Just Dies. Almost As If It Is Fuel Related But Could It Just Be The Airbox, I Thought It Would Still Run Lumpy

    Please Help

    Cheers

Put a airbox on. When fitting my induction kit on my old VTR i forgot to tighten it like a muppet and the car just cut out.. put it on and it worked.. took it off just to see again & it stopped so i would say put the airbox on and it should fire up.

Leave it running when you get it running occasionally opening the throttle and it should be alright.

It will still run without an airbox. The main reason for an airbox is so that you don't just get all the crap in your engine which is quite possible. My 306 did this and it turned out i needed to clean the mapp sensor and reset the ecu
(leave battery disconnected for about 6 - 7 hours)
