vtr bottom end on 1.4

   Could a vtr bottom end be put on a 1,4 westcoast engine? would there be perfromance gains?

   mate a 1.4 head wont fit to a 1.6 bottom end

   No performance gains..would slow it down as the VTR bottom end is iron whereas the westy's are aluminium..
   
   To get power from an engine its the head you need to worry about i.e cams, inlet etc etc
