Hub nut variations

    The standard ones that I have seen before have a metal collar that you stake into place.

    However, my drivers side one has a different type of nut from when the drivehsaft was replaced before. it's one of these:



    are these ok to use as they don't have a collar for staking?

    As long as they are torqued up to the correct setting they will be fine mate.
    The correct setting is 250nm - 184lb ft

    no the torque setting will be different. those in the picture are nyloc nuts the the standard ones are castle nuts. Personly i would use the standard types are they will lock in better.
