#2Drop links attach to the anti roll bar at the bottom and then at they sit up vertically and attach into a 'wing' just off the struts
Any pics of what you're looking at? -
#3no mate sorry i will try and get some. its just a have a funny noise coming from the bar its self.
-
#4Does the bar that you're talking about join onto this bit of your strut?
If so im pretty sure its your track rod end
-
#5Yeh will be the track rod end as Willsy said. Your car probably doesn't have a droplink does it? I think the anti roll bar attaches to the lower arm (wishbone) on the furio?
-
#6On a VTR/S the drop link attaches to the wing thats below the track rod end one in that picture.
On my old 1.0 struts this wing wasnt actually there either.
Still havnt fitted my Anti Roll bar yet dooh -
#7thanks willsy very helpful, my car is based on the vts except the engine, so its all the same set up. im just going to change my drop link as i have been told this is prob what the noise is. thanks for evryones help

#8Yeh that wing isn't there on my strut either. The strut is absolutly identical though apart from that. The only difference in suspension is the lower arm, anti roll bar and drop link. Everything else is basically identical.Quote:On a VTR/S the drop link attaches to the wing thats below the track rod end one in that picture.

#9With your drop link check that the rubber around the end joints isnt split. If it isnt then the chances are that this isnt the problem
of course if it is split then there will be no grease inside and itll be making some form of noise (couldnt tell you exctly what as ive been ok so far)
Did the Furio actually come with a full VTR/S type anti roll bar with droplinks? Havnt checked yet, but im pretty sure on a Mk1 equivalent - the Westcoast - jpsaxo had to buy and fit his own anti roll bar as it didnt come with one as standard.
Ill double check on that for you though -
#10thanks mate, im sure everything is the same as vtr etc as my wishbones and other things where the same my passenger side drop link has split. i knew this already but the noise was still there when turning the wheel both sides, my mechanic as said that i should just change this as the noise will transfer along the set up.
