HI PEEPS CAN ANYONE TELL ME THE MAIN PROBLEMS I WILL COME ACROSS WHEN FITTING A MK2 VTS ENGINE INC LOOM, ECU ETC IN A MK1 VTR, I HAVE HEARD YOU ARE BETTER GETTING A MK FOR MK LIKENESS, I.E MK1 VTR-MK1 VTS MK2-VTR MK2 VTS. DOES ANY1 KNOW WHATTHE REAL DIFFERENCES ARE BETWEEN THE TWO CHEERS IN ADVANCE

#2Main loom wiring harness has 21 pins instead of the later 19. In other words alot of cutting an shutting.
Get a single plug 16v engine and loom etc instead. Read my thread. -
#3What year is the VTS engine & loom? If its an early 2001 or earlier you should be fine & it will still use the single plug system like the mk1's
If you have any pictures of the ecu/loom from the doner VTS it should be quite easy to tell if its a single or triple plug ecu
