Right had some pads turn up today! Just wondering if they should have this on one of the pads????

I've got no idea what it would be used for. They do look like the right shape though so I'm not sure..

that clip coming from the pad fits into the brake piston on the caliper

is that like that on all standard brake pads because I've never had that on any of mine? but mine is a 1.1 though so I haven't fitted ones for other models.

Yep theyre exactly right for a standard VTR with standard calipers. Came across these on Jays yesterday when changing his suspension over.
That bit simply pushes into the piston as a means to securing it
