Turboing a saxo

  1. #1
Hey i might be able to get my hands on a very high mileage 16v engine for next to nothing all going well and i was just wondering if anyone could possibly give me a list of everything i would need to rebuild it and turbo it?

Obviously a turbo, lower compression forged pistons, stronger headgasket, intercooler. after that i'm lost.

i would appreciate it if anyone could help me out.

If you scroll about half way down this page, it lists quite a few things.

I'm not really knowledgeable in this area, so sorry if its bollocks.

Shows how to convert most Saxo's to a 16v.

i havn't got a saxo anymore lad, just a glanza turbo

it's more of an experiment i guess, a very expensive one. i loved the handling he saxo had, just was a bit lacking on torque is all, which is wat the turbo will sort.

if i can get the lump cheap, plan on rebuilding it with lower compression and turboing it, then finding a car to put it in. a yellow 106gti would be lovely....

    - Bailey BOV
    - Heat Shield
    - Head Gasket x2
    - Head Bolts (Not Pictured)
    - Intercooler

Regarding the manifold, iirc the turbo shouldn't be mounted at such an angle for oil circulation. Although it could be the picture making it look on the bonk.

Who was the professional who made it?
